A music festival in Kerala this week is being held to demonstrate the traditional lifestyle of the natives, and is set to be visited by Miley Cyrus.

While genres like Hindustani classical and Carnatic music that are intrinsic to our country have been recognised worldwide there are many others that are dying an undignified death. Keli a city-based cultural organisation has taken it upon themselves to bring these endangered genres and their exponents to the fore.

In its 19-year existence, Keli has felicitated many of the masters and contemporary musicians of genres which mostly belong to the South, and it also organises concerts.
